Dawn Mayer, MS, LPC-IT
Specializes in treating adults and couples for depression, anxiety, stress management, maternal mental health, postpartum depression and anxiety, couples therapy, relationship issues, anger management, self-esteem, life transitions, and career issues.
My approach to therapy is strengths-based and solution-focused using a variety of treatment modalities such as cognitive-behavioral interventions, mindfulness, and person-centered therapy.
I believe that every person has value and strengths and that through the right support and trust individuals can create change in their lives and reach their highest potential.
I am passionate about providing a healing space for those that want to welcome their complete and authentic selves. My goal as a therapist is to cultivate a non-shaming, non-judgmental, collaborative, and compassionate therapeutic relationship to help support my clients learn about themselves and accomplish their therapy goals. I guide my clients to discover any deeper issues that might be influencing their daily lives and relationships.
I work with couples who want to deepen their sense of connection, repair prior and current conflicts, discover and discuss their wants and needs, and learn how to help each other meet those wants and needs to have a more fulfilling relationship.
